Scripture: Philippians 2:1–11

Rev. Dr. John Kimmons visits our pulpit this Fathers' Day to offer us the encouragement and exhortation of the Gospel in our period of transition.

He brings us a message from Philippians 2:1-11. His message centers around the Christian virtue of "meekness" which is sometimes translated as "humility" in current translations. Rev. Kimmons offers us a description and definition of meekness which challenges God's people to living a life like Jesus's life. A meek life is a life marked by not seeking our own rights and being willing to give up our own preferences in order to honor our Heavenly Father.
