As concerns have increased this week surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), we are committed to doing whatever we can to provide a safe environment for you and your family.
To that end, our staff has been diligently assessing current public health news and policy updates issued by the CDC and other appropriate agencies, applying their recommendations to our current situation.
While God has not given us a spirit of fear, He has called us to love each other and to love our world, and to contribute to the welfare of our community. Exercising caution is not merely wise, but is a tangible way of expressing love toward others.
In light of the recommendations of our governing officials, The Church Session has made the following decisions and recommendations:
1. Weekend Worship services
Starting this Sunday, March 22, we will NOT meet for our worship services in person, at Bartow ARP. Instead, we will be live streaming our 11:00am service. You will be able to join us live on the Bartow ARP YouTube channel located at: BartowARP-YouTube . The service will also be available for playback later that afternoon.
At this time there is no anticipated start date that we plan on resuming worship service. However, we will continue to assess the situation and communicate any updated decisions on this page as well as our church facebook page. Please check back regularly.
2. Mid-Week Services and Other on-site Events
Any on-site event will not be meeting as scheduled. These events include and are not limited to the following: Sabbath School Assembly, Sabbath School, College & Career, Worship Service, Sabbath Knights kids club, Middle & High School Youth groups, noon fellowships, Wednesday bible study, Wednesday choir practice, Friday Men's Discipleship, Camp Joy, BookSters Club, Circle #4, CEC Meeting, Circle #1 & #2, Maundy Thursday Communion, and Good Friday Service.
At this time there is no anticipated start date that these activities will resume normal schedules.
Do not live in fear because our God is in control. However, we want to ecnourage you to do your part in honoring the requests of our officials regarding their recommendations pertaining to social distancing and quarantine at this time.
