Letter From Rev. Cline
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The following is a copy of the letter sent by Rev. Cline to us. Please review it at your leisure.
February 10, 2019
Dear Bartow A.R.P. Church,
Thank you! Thank you for extending the great honor, privilege, and opportunity to servie Jesus alongside you. We could see and feel your excitement about the next chapter in Bartow's history at the presbytery meeting on Tuesday. Rest assured, the feelings are mutual!
We are beginning to see why this church carries such a rich history and wide influence within our denomination. You genuinely love Jesus. You genuinely love one another, and you put your love into action serving one another. Because of your tangible acts of love, Bartow already feels like our home. Thank you for deciding to make us part of your church family.
Our first Sunday with you will be March 24th. We wish we could start sooner but Hopewell needs 30 days to prepare for the transition. Also, Tanner will be speaking at a Bonclarken youth retreat on March 15th - 17th. For these reasons, March 24th is the soonest we can start.
In the meantime, here is how you can be praying:
- Around noon today we will formally announce the news to Hopewell A.R.P. Church. Pray for them as they begin the journey you have recently completed. Pray God will guide them and encourage them as they search for a new pastor.
- Ask God to help us faithfully, graciously, and effectively close one chapter of ministry while enthusiastically preparing for the next chapter of our life and ministry.
- Thank God for making every step of the process smooth so far. Pray His soveriegn, gracious hand will continue to smoot the road before us.
- Pray God makes the next chapter in our church's history at Bartow the most faithful, joyful, and fruitful years in her magnificent history. We pray this not for our name's sake, nor for your name's sake, but for His name's sake. To God alone be the glory!
Serving with you,
Tanner & Jennifer
